Dear Walter  and Kaymarie,

My husband and I stumbled on your open garden this morning whilst having a beautiful weekend in the Clare Valley. I don’t know if you remember me but but I met you both and Walter was kind enough to show me around part of your magnificent garden. I just wanted to say how lovely that experience was and how much I appreciated Walters generosity in time and conversation. It was a highlight of my weekend to see such beauty and a sincere delight to walk amongst it with  a person with such passion and care for  the natural world.

I would dearly like to come again next year. Can you put me on a mailing list so i don’t miss it?

It is a magical part of the world up there and I only wish I owned a little  house in that area!!

Dear Mr and Mrs Duncan

I feel compelled to write to you to thank you for your generosity in opening your magnificent garden on Sunday last.

My husband and I have attended most of your “Open Days” over the last few years and watched with fascination the development of your beautiful garden. It is miraculous to watch the development as I am sure you have found it to be.

On Sunday it looked at its beautiful best and we felt privileged to be allowed to walk at our leisure and enjoy your magnificent achievement.

Thank you for your willingness to let those of us who marvel at beautiful gardens, and have a tiny incling at what is involved, to glory in your surroundings.

After last years decision not to open the garden again I do confess we were very disappointed, so this year seemed a wonderful surprise.
