Thanks to all who visited us in early November
We raised $2000 for the Clare Hospital Garden and had a lovely day despite the heat
The poppies were amazing and the roses were fresh and vibrant even though all the french roses were not quite out!
We will keep you posted for next year
YES we have decided that we need to share our beautiful garden with you all again
This year we are inviting you all to bring your own picnic and enjoy the garden with us on
SUNDAY 1st November from 10am to 5pm 2009
We will have the Urn on and you can help yourselves to Tea and Coffee and a good stroll around the garden
We also hope you will donate generously to the charity that we will be supporting. (yet to be decided)
It will be an informal day when we hope to see all our friend and make more new ones!
Look forward to seeing those of you who can come…….
It just occurred to me that I forgot to write in the guest book! I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your lovely cottage and all the small touches you made which ensured we had a fantastic weekend! I could have slept for days in the comfy bed and we watched some great old movies on DVD as well (great idea not connecting TV!). We will definitely be back!
Thanks again to you and Walter.
Nan Berrett of the Northern Argus has written another story about Walt, reporting on the World Rose Award that was presented by the World Federation of Roses Societies 15th Convention in Vancouver, Canada.
The article covers a bit of history and is worth a read. You can read more here.
Just a short message to say a very sincere thankyou for the opportunity to stay in your cottage at the weekend. Malcolm and I had a wonderful time and fell in love with your cottage and its surrounds.
There is a group of us that went to school together and we get together every couple of months for dinner. One of the group suggested spending our next time together at Sevenhill. There were 7 of us plus partners who all got together and had a wonderful weekend.
I am sorry we didn’t get a chance to meet you both, but we are definitely going to come again so hopefully we can meet you then.
Again thankyou for helping us to have a great getaway weekend.
We loved every minute of it especially the time at the cottage.

Walter has also won another award for his passion and contribution for ‘Old World Roses’
He was presented with his World Rose Award at The Opening Ceremony of the World Federation of Rose Societies 15th Convention in Vancouver, BC Canada in June 2009
It was such an honour to be recognised by this world committee for his lifelong work and passion for roses.
Watch for the pictures!
Dear Kay and Walt,
Thank you for having us stay in The Heritage Cottage. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay in the Cottage. You have done an extraordinary job in restoring the cottage.
Your gardens are magnificent and we enjoyed our relaxing walk in the evenings looking at the many different varieties of roses and plants you have.
Thank you once again for a an enjoyable stay and we will gladly recommend The Heritage Garden to our family and friends to stay,
Kind Regards Carolyn and Peter
Nothing should we alter of this station, gentle Walter
The hard work of creation, tearing down and building up
A heritage salvation, an overflowing cup
Of character and beauty, that exudes a sort of duty
To maintain an older story in a stone and wooden glory.
So thanks for all the sharing, and Kaymarie’s warm caring
With coffee by the fire, and Basil. Who could tire?

We will open the garden for one day from 10am to 5pm on the 1st November 2009.
BYO picnic and come and enjoy the garden
It is a wonderful day in the garden with the roses blooming and masses of foxgloves and annuals and perennials.
Come and see the new developments and support a charity.
And a great chance to have cups of tea and coffee, and wine and cheese and chat with all your garden minded friends!!
We will have the Urn on and you can help yourselves to tea and coffee.
Hope to see you here.
Kay and Walt
Regular visitors to theheritagegarden.com.au will have noticed quite a change recently with the development of the new website.
We have worked hard to present The Heritage Garden as we see it – a warm and inviting place to stay or visit, or even to host your wedding.
Thanks to Rob Mader for his expertise in creating the site. You can visit his work at NAR Design.
